I admit it… I’m a sucker for kitchen gadgets!  Even those I find in a second-hand shop and have absolutley no idea how to use them or what they are for… they draw me to them and entice me to BUY.

It’s my intention to channel some of that passion into this blog and hopefully connect with my fellow gadget junky’s. It won’t exactly be a 12-step program… unless it’s a ‘how-to’ lesson on using one kitchen gadget or another. We’ll discover new tools, dig up over-looked gadgets and, if we’re lucky, even find a use for those gadgets currently filling our drawers and cabinets.

Of course, some of these will be essential items you need in every kitchen…
some will be useful but non-essential…
and some likely to be useless but fascinating.

So strap on those kitchen aprons and let’s explore somethings that may already be hiding unused in your kitchen storage.

Today, I’m talking about those amazing, incredible, remarkable, unbelievable (have I used enough adjectives yet?) gadgets so many of us have been attracted to by the TV promotions or barkers at our local state fairs. Yes, it’s not just firing up the George Foreman Grill… what about the Pasta Pro, the Ronco Rotisserie Oven and so many more.

My youngest son, in his early 20’s, worked at an apartment complex to get reduced rent. He’s managed to fill his kitchen with an incredible number of these gadgets that people seem to leave behind when they move. I’m convinced they simply didn’t take the time to get familiar with the tools so they couldn’t see the value in moving and storing them. Well, their loss is my son’s gain – and mine, since I get the opportunity to play with many of these toys that I’ve previously managed to resist!
