Finding and Using Cool Kitchen Gadgets
I finally broke down and ordered one of the niftiest, newest storage containers I’ve run across recently… Foldtuk
This stuff is made of something called Ceramberâ„¢
I can’t really say I understand the science of the kind of material that can go from the freezer, to the oven, to the table… and is also unbreakable and COLLAPSIBLE… but this food storage container does all that! Actually, by now you can probably tell this is much more than a ’storage container’.
I really encourage you to go check out their website and watch the video that demonstrates just what this product can do. Because it can be collapsed gradually I feel it qualifies as a gadget. (In my world a gadget is a ‘gadget’ because it does something, otherwise it’s merely a dust-collector!)
While I appreciate all the claimed features… like being able to prepare a dish right in the container, stashing it in the freezer until later, putting it right from the freezer into a hot oven and then serving in the same dish…
what I really appreciate the MOST is the fact that these things COLLAPSE!
I don’t know about you but I always find space in my kitchen to be at a premium (could it be I have too many gadgets?!? Hmmm…) so when I find something like foldtuk that can potentially replace my bulky casserole dishes, I’m at least willing to check it out.
Now… if we could just come up with a real solution to the lid storage issues I’d be a real happy camper!
